Whitchurch Alport FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Shillcock as the club’s new first team manager.
'Shilly' succeeds Luke Goddard, who he worked alongside as a coach at the club, before departing in 2022.
This led to him being named Market Drayton Town FC manager, where he's impressed since joining last season.
Following his departure from Market Drayton, Shilly now joins Alport, looking to guide the reds back towards play-off contention.
Speaking on the announcement, newly appointed Chairman, Mike Edge said: “After a thorough recruitment process, we are excited to confirm Adam's appointment as our first team manager.
“His record at Market Drayton has been impressive and I am impressed also by his leadership and plan to guide us in the future. We welcome Adam to the club and look forward to a strong remainder of the season."
"I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Jayson Starkey, Kevin Street and the players for their commitment and efforts during this interim period, and also our supporters, who have remained patient during the appointment process"
Shilly will confirm his backroom staff in due course and you will be able to hear a first interview with the manager later today via the clubs social media channels.
We urge as many supporters that can attend the game to get behind Shilly and the team on Saturday and give him a big Alport welcome back”
