Clayton, 28 years old has been a long standing stalwart at his hometown Club but has committed to Luke Goddard’s side for 21/22 as we start our exciting new journey in the Midlands League.

On joining he had this to say; “I’ve always known a lot about Alport and obviously we had a great rivalry a few years back when at my previous Club. Knowing the gaffer we have talked before about making the switch but it never quite happened until now! The opportunity to represent this great football club whilst playing In front of the #RedArmy is something that really excites me and I know with the squad we are building, the good times will be just around the corner”

Clayton will feature again this evening as the first team travel to Eccleshall FC (19.45pm) with more announcements on new signings over the coming days.
